Corporate Operations Staff

 Elaine R. Davis Jones
Chief Operating Officer

Elaine started her career in the home care business in 1973 as the owner of a home care agency that grew to become a multi-site, multi-million dollar agency.  She has long advocated for higher quality standards and first proposed that the Joint Commission recognize home care as an independent category of accreditation. As a result of this work, her agency was the first home care company in the nation to be accredited under the home care standards of the Joint Commission.  She has established herself as an expert in the home care field first by developing her own agency and through the years by testifying before Congress on many occasions as the home care benefit became increasingly under government scrutiny. She was the first non-medical professional to become certified as a Professional in Healthcare Quality and is an accomplished author. She has written about the industry in the book Total Quality Management for Home Care and has countless articles to her credit. She is an accomplished speaker and has been key note speaker at many national forums, conventions and conferences. Elaine worked with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for several years always with the emphasis on quality and performance improvement.  This work led to her being named in the International Who’s Who of Quality sponsored by the International Academy of Quality in Frankfurt, Germany and she is a contributing author to the Six Sigma Research Institute’s body of knowledge.Elaine has been named Woman of the Year, and is named in over 15 annual Who’s Who publications.  She has consulted with national homecare companies in the areas of operations, quality, performance improvement and marketing. Elaine has worked for many of the national homecare companies in positions such as Chief Quality Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Vice President of Business Practices.

Patricia Sanders, RN, CPHRM
Vice president, Quality, Safety and Risk Mitigation

Pat brings to the Team 37 years of health care experience most of which has been in managing home health agencies. Pat is one of only a handful of professional nurses that has also achieved the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management. Her specialty over the years has been in the development of standardized operating processes to ensure compliance with quality initiatives, regulatory standards and high performance goals.
She has developed and implemented Corporate Quality Improvement Programs and served as the Corporate Privacy Officer, HIPAA Compliance Officer, handled all privacy complaints and OCR investigations with no penalties or fines levied. As a home care consultant, Pat assessed and re-designed hospital system’s homecare operations; evaluated areas falling below national standards and established the course of action for achievement to standards and performance measures. She developed standardized operating processes and established the policies and procedure manuals for 500+ homecare offices nation-wide. Additionally, Pat has a flair for sales as she was able to establish and maintain relationships with major accounts that resulted in significant increases in annual sales and contributed to overall company growth and profitability. She implemented the plan to achieve status as the first home health agency in the nation to achieve Joint Commission accreditation and the first agency in GA to achieve Hospice Medicare certification.

Our History

CareMinders® Home Care began its operation when our President, Gary Kneller, identified the need for a company who could provide extraordinary service in home care.  Due to life experiences as a cancer survivor and dealing with aging parents, Gary recognized there are many home care companies, but none offered the combination of services or the quality he and his family expected.  He was looking for a company he could build a relationship with that could follow his and his family's needs throughout life when various entry points into the healthcare continuum were required.

Gary's skills in finance, economics, marketing and telecommunications would become the business foundation for a new company.  His life-long empathy for people provided the heart of the business and a strong incentive to build something that would help people of all ages and their families.  Gary's decision to build the home care company of his dreams became a reality when he partnered with Brian Schleicher who became the co-founder of CareMinders® Home Care.

Brian's background as an attorney, CPA and a business owner provided the skills necessary for this exciting new venture as its Chief Executive Officer.  His empathy for people, coupled with his passion for the dream of building a premier home care company, led to his and Gary's desire to expand the dream team of executives for CareMinders® Home Care.

With over thirty years experience in all facets of home care, Elaine Davis Jones is recognized as an industry leader. From owning her own Medicare Certified Home Health Agency to managing a multi-unit home care operation with over 600 units nation-wide, Elaine brings a unique perspective to homecare. Having been involved in the industry from its infancy to its current state; providing expert testimony before Congress; being asked to author the textbook, Total Quality Management for Home Care; and having served as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, all these experiences gave Elaine the requisite background to become our Executive Vice President - Franchisee Operations for CareMinders® Home Care.

Ed joined our companyin 2009 to assist in franchise sales and development.  He has over 22 years of franchise experience in sales and operations in a number of franchise systems.

To round out our team Dr. Pandya joined the Company as its Medical Director in 2009.  He is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and advises us on issues relating to best medical practices in an effort to keep our quality standards among the highest in the industry.

Together, this group has built a franchise operation for homecare that epitomizes what it means to offer unparalled compassionate quality care, services and support to those most vulnerable in the home setting.
